While generally Ikard Young does not engage in lobbying for its clients, it does develop and furnish seasoned and creative strategic and tactical planning and decision-making in all areas of the public arena.

Tim Young has been active in public policy matters since moving to Austin in 1987. He has presented testimony at legislative committee hearings on numerous matters, represented local governmental authorities with issues before the legislature and various state agencies, and represented one of the largest underground water regulatory authorities in Texas. Tim’s work in the public policy arena has been extremely varied – including locating and constructing new prisons, advising on underground water regulation, working with industry and regulatory authorities on pari-mutuel betting for horse and dog racing, and low income housing matters.
